Customs Clearance Requirements
Valid Passport, Inventory of Goods, Original Bill of Lading or Express Release, Work Permit (non-residence)
and Personal appearance of the shipper to Customs.

Importation Prohibited
Narcotics, Drugs, Fire-arms and Ammunition. Police Permit and Government license required before importation.

Customs Regulations
RETURNING NATIONALS may bring back duty-free all household and personal effects acquired and in use for one year prior to arrival in Trinidad and Tobago.

DIPLOMATS are exempted from all duties and taxes and customs inspection. Exemption Certificate to be obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Other Legal Residents - items purchased within one year are subject to duties and taxes.

All Customs Examination takes place at the Container Examination Station at Ports, Port of Spain and Point Lisas. Containers for Tobago are transshipped under Customs Bond.

Commercial & Other Commodities
We handle all categories of commercial items.. Customs clearance rates are based on CIF Value of the commodity. Delivery rates are based on the volume and point of destination.
 

Motor Vehicles
Every Returning Resident is entitled to bring one (1) vehicle per family.

REQUIREMENTS
Must have resided abroad for a continuous period of at least five (5) years immediately prior to his return to Trinidad and Tobago. Must be the registered owner of the vehicle, for at least six (6) months prior to his return. All right-hand drive vehicles require an Import License from the Ministry of Trade and Industry prior to shipping. Left hand drive vehicles are allowed by returning Nationals meeting the requirements.
